Directed by internationally renowned American filmmaker Michael Haussman, GONE transforms an idyllic Mediterranean vacation into a fascinating tale of mystery, freedom, and disappearance.
No one really disappears. It's not possible.
For the Spring Summer 2026 season, LGR presents GONE, a film campaign conceived and directed by American director Michael Haussman.
Considered one of the most influential visual storytellers of his generation, Haussman has built his career through refined and highly evocative cinematic language, collaborating with some of the greatest icons of contemporary music and culture, including Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Shakira, Britney Spears, and U2, as well as directing campaigns and special projects for prestigious international luxury brands.
His ability to create worlds suspended between reality and imagination, characterized by strong narrative tension and extraordinary aesthetic research, made his gaze particularly suited to interpreting the LGR universe and the central themes of GONE: travel, mystery, desire and freedom.
Filmed in Sicily on the island of Favignana, with its crystal-clear waters, GONE aims to be a return to the brand's founding values: travel, adventure, and exploration. Reinterpreted through an unexpected and engaging narrative perspective.
Inspired by the suspended atmosphere of Michelangelo Antonioni's L'Avventura and the enigmatic suggestions of David Lynch's cinema, GONE tells the story of a group of friends sailing the Mediterranean during a carefree summer holiday. At the center of the story is Sophie, a young woman with strong charisma, capable of naturally capturing the attention of those around her, and who suddenly disappears.
What begins as a romantic summer trip gradually turns into a mysterious quest. Friends believe they glimpse Sophie on distant beaches, behind a window, in fleeting reflections or sudden apparitions. Yet, every time they try to reach her, she vanishes again. Reality and imagination thus begin to blur, leaving open a question destined to remain unanswered: has Sophie really disappeared or has she become the projection of the desires, memories and expectations of those who seek her?
Told through a sequence of evocative and cinematic images, GONE explores themes such as freedom, identity, and the irresistible allure of the unknown. The campaign invites the viewer into a world where certainties dissolve, where desire influences perception and where the search itself becomes more important than the destination.
In the campaign, the protagonists wear the new models from LGR's SS26 collection: Algiers, Egypt, Gabon, Meknes II.
Alongside new color shades of some of the brand's most iconic models, such as Reunion, Turkana, Khartoum, Tigray, and Asmara Carnet de Voyage.
